No, private security cannot be armed in Ghana in accordance with the Ministry of Interior’s current regulations.  At present, armed security in Ghana is not commensurate with risk.  If there is a change in the security situation, armed security would be provided with current or former Ghana military who hold and carry the relevant license and training.
