Mali has a major crime issue.  Violent crime including armed attacks and kidnappings are common. In addition, Mali also suffers with a high threat from terrorism, especially in Segou, Mopti and the north of the region.  Business travelers must ensure travel arrangements are robust and achievable before travel.
