Yes, there is a risk of terrorism in Paris.  Lone actors and ISIS members are active within the city and foreign travelers are vulnerable.   The style of attack is similar to that seen across the globe, including opportunistic armed attacks against the public, and large scale sophisticated attacks to ensure mass casualties.  Areas which are most vulnerable include western hotspots, public transportation and significant infrastructure.
